Our design process

Stage 1: initial consultation

We’ll meet at your garden for an informal chat about your dreams and vision. Initial consultations are free within 10 miles of Bedford. If you live further away we’ll ask for a small fee to cover our travel costs.

Following your consultation, we’ll send you a quote and outline brief based on your wants, needs and budget.

Stage 2: survey

We’ll carry out or commission a topographical survey of your garden. This details all the changes of level and where utilities are so we can factor these into our design.

Stage 3: garden vision

We’ll share inspirational moodboards to help you imagine your new garden and confirm we’ve understood your style and tastes.

Stage 4: detailed design

We’ll create a detailed scale masterplan to allow a landscaping contractor to build your garden to the highest standard.

We’ll specify all landscaping materials and features, and create planting plans for planted areas.

We’ll create technical drawings for specialists as needed, such as lighting and bespoke features.

Stage 5: planting

We’ll source beautiful plants that give your garden year round interest.

All our plants are chosen for their resilience and suitability for your garden’s unique conditions.

We’ll also set out and plant the plants ourselves to make sure they get the best start.
