Rural family garden

A rejuvenated garden retreat for a growing family to connect with their surroundings

A young family with a double-fronted village home needed an outdoor space they could all enjoy. Their blank canvas garden offered plenty of potential, but our clients were unsure how to make the most of it.

We created a grander first impression to this beautiful property by introducing larger beds flanking the front doors, alongside a feature brick driveway.

A previously forgotten area to the side of the house becomes a garden office, overlooking a new play area. Utilities are hidden from view behind bespoke screens.

To the rear, paths flow round the house beyond a pergola nestled among blousy, cottage-style planting. A larger terrace gives ample room for entertaining and relaxing.

Beyond the terrace, a kitchen garden and pond lead to a wildflower meadow, blurring the boundary with the surrounding farmland and drawing the eye out to the wide views beyond.
